The Resurrection & Everyday Life: The Resurrection & Innocent Suffering

The world is full of suffering. There is suffering that comes at one’s hand, but there is much suffering, unspeakable suffering, that no one deserves. The Christian faith claims a God of compassion and mercy, yet every day terrible tragedy befalls in the innocent. If the resurrection did not happen, this reality would be cause to dismiss the God of the Bible, for he is cruel and apathetic to our plight. If the resurrection did happen, there are meaning and purpose in suffering that we might fight to see.
