The Day of The Lord: A Lenten series in the Minor Prophets - Amos & Micah: Unrighteousness

In this Lenten series, we will consider the various major themes and imagery used by the minor prophets who prophesy to God’s people in Israel and Judah. These prophets sought to make known the reasons for and our experiences of that coming day (Note: We will not engage Obadiah or Nahum, as each is a prophecy against other nations). Lent, a season of contemplation on sin and forgiveness, leads us to long for the work Jesus accomplished––a work we celebrate on Good Friday and Easter. This series will show how the suffering and injustice in us and around us ought to cause us to long for Jesus, the Lord of that coming day.
